Lights, music and a blue tulle dress. Here's what it was like to step onto the catwalk for the first time in front of a full room — and everything we learned getting ready for the moment.
The week began with fittings and walk rehearsals. Karalina practised her route again and again, learning to hit her mark at the end of the runway and to stay calm with the lights in her face.
Show day
We arrived early. Hair, light age-appropriate makeup, and plenty of time to breathe backstage. The team were wonderful with the youngest models and everything felt safe and calm.
"When the music started, I stopped being nervous. I just wanted to enjoy every step."
What we learned
Sleep well the night before, bring a snack and water, and trust the team. For a child, the key is keeping it fun — no pressure, real breaks, and always accompanied by family.
It was a big first step, and we're already looking forward to next season.
